A federal judge rejected a motion to dismiss the government’s notice of intent to seek the death penalty in the Buffalo mass shooting case, according to a district court filing Tuesday.

One person was injured after a shooting that occurred early Monday evening in Buffalo’s Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood. Police responded to a report of a male shot at 6:47 p.m. in the area of Broadway and Memorial Drive.

The Town of Tonawanda is seeking approval of up to $26 million in state funding to make improvements to the raw water system that maintains the River Road Industrial Corridor.

At a special meeting on April 22, Town of Niagara leaders discussed enforcement plans, including surveillance cameras being installed and only licensed junkyard operators will be allowed to remain.

The Town of Lockport is looking to change its zoning code to bring in more small businesses, planning on allowing what are called “small business development/incubation parks” within parcels that are zoned for B-1 business use.
