A former treasurer of Canal Fest has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $26,000 in a plea deal with Niagara County prosecutors. Carrie Heyn, 45, of Sanborn, pleaded guilty Monday afternoon to a charge of fourth-degree grand larceny.

A Niagara Falls man, 39 year old Thomas Campbell, faces several felony charges after he was arrested Friday following an investigation by the Niagara County Drug Task Force, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office announced.

The Dunkirk Police Department says a person is in custody following an incident near Franklin Avenue and W. Doughty Street that prompted a shelter in place order.

The Buffalo Fatherhood Initiative launched its 13-week Nurturing Fathers Program on Monday at the Hope & Wellness Recovery Café in Lockport. The free 13-week program will meet weekly from 6 to 8 p.m. to equip fathers with the tools to improve family relationships and the well-being of their children.
