Thirty employees of Candlelight Cabinetry have filed claims with the state Department of Labor about unpaid wages.

Lockport police have located the suspect in Friday’s fatal stabbing of a woman on Genesee Street. Isaiah M. Williams, 21, was found in Pendleton by New York State Police on Saturday and turned over to Lockport police who have charged him with second-degree murder in the case.

The F&M Building has taken an essential step toward renovation with the finalization of its sale to the Savarino Company on Friday for $250,000. The seven-story building’s historic architectural features will be preserved in an estimated $11 million renovation project to convert it into 16 luxury market-rate apartments in the upper floors, with the first floor and basement developed for commercial use.

Crews responded to a fire that broke out at an apartment building at 217 Minnesota Ave. in the city of Buffalo on Sunday afternoon that displaced eight individuals.
