Purchase of the F&M Building by the Savarino Company is expected to close on Friday, with plans to renovate the structure into market-rate apartments.

One person died in a house fire in the Town of Tonawanda on Monday, officials said. The fire happened on Woodstock Avenue near Idlewood Drive in Tonawanda around 2:30 p.m.

The Thunder of Niagara Air Show, which had been on hiatus since 2018 but was scheduled to return this summer has been canceled, the U.S. Air Force Reserve announced Monday. The show has been canceled due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, the Air Force Reserve said.
