A Niagara University student was killed in a car crash early Tuesday on Main Street, the school confirmed. The name of the victim has yet to be released. A second student involved in the crash is in stable condition and receiving medical care, the university said.

The Cheektowaga Town Board unanimously passed a resolution on Tuesday limiting how town resources – including the Cheektowaga Police Department – can be used in collaboration with immigration and customs enforcement.

Community Missions of Niagara Frontier is one of 15 organizations across the state to receive a share of nearly $21 million to support SNUG Street Outreach programs. Community Missions will receive $694,280, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.
