A man was arrested after his mother was found dead inside a residence on McKinley Parkway on Sunday, according to Hamburg police. Police were conducting a welfare check at 33-year-old James Jenney’s residence around 8 a.m. when they discovered Lareta Jenney, 71, dead inside. James was arrested following a thorough investigation and processing of the residence at 5044 McKinley Parkway.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) is offering an award of up to $150,000 for information that will lead to an arrest following the robbery of a letter carrier in Niagara Falls earlier this month near 2024 Forest Ave.

A 62-year-old man is dead after a fire broke out in an apartment in Cheektowaga, 17 Williamstowne Court, Sunday night.

Around 11:00 p.m., police were called to 17 Williamstowne Court for reports of smoke filling an apartment hallway. The building was evacuated. The fire was contained to one apartment and quickly extinguished.
