The SPCA Serving Erie County reported that demand for its Pet Food Pantry had nearly tripled as more families struggled to care for their pets. The pantry, part of the SPCA’s expanded efforts to help pets remain in their loving homes, once provided approximately 20,000 dog and cat meals per month. Recently, the need surpassed 60,000 meals monthly-and continued to grow.
The holiday season has officially arrived at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, where the annual poinsettia exhibit is now open to visitors.”It is absolutely beautiful,” Marketing Manager Shaunna Mooney told 2 On Your Side. “We have hundreds and hundreds of poinsettias in all different kinds of colors, varieties, shapes. It feels like a holiday magical scene in here, and it’s so warm.”
