Code Blue is in effect through 8 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 12) in the city of Lockport due to forecasted overnight below-freezing temperatures. Any homeless person or individual without home heating may go directly to the Salvation Army, 50 Cottage St., between 8 and 10 p.m. for shelter.

Two teenagers are dead after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole in the Town of Wellsville early Saturday morning. Police said a 17-year-old driver was going eastbound on Tarantine Boulevard when the driver drove off the road, hitting a utility pole on the driver’s side. According to police, there were six teenagers in the car at the time.

A development team has purchased the former Amherst Bowling Center at 47 Amherst St., Buffalo, with plans to knock down the long-vacant structure to construct a three-story, 139,000-square-foot apartment building. The price tag was $2 million.

The Goo Goo Dolls is set to take the stage next week at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo with all proceeds from the show benefitting FeedMore WNY. The show will take place at 8 p.m. on Nov 20 with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 12.
