The Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit is looking into a Monday afternoon fire in a barn-style garage in the Town of Niagara. Emergency crews were called to the 8800 block of Lockport Road about 1:40 p.m. Monday for the fire. No injuries.
A Jamestown woman is facing charges after being found to be driving while intoxicated while having children in her vehicle at the intersection of Baker Street and Chapman Street in the city of Jamestown. Police say the driver at fault, 42-year-old Christina Blair, had been operating her vehicle while intoxicated. Four children her in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

A Buffalo man recetnly became the victim of a sophisticated fraud scheme that cost him nearly $10,000. Gregory Rabb says he was the victim of what’s called check washing, where thieves steal checks from the mail, erase the payee and dollar amount, then change it to benefit themselves.
