Current and former unionized workers at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Buffalo are asking for a boycott of the hotel amid a yearlong fight for fair wages and a voice at the hotel.

A woman and an infant were killed in a house fire early Saturday morning on Norwood Avenue in Buffalo and authorities say they’re working to investigate what caused the fire.

A 31-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle on Buffalo’s East Side early Sunday morning, officials said. The incident occurred at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Wick Street around 2:45 a.m.

The NFTA’s metro rail system will reopen for underground services Monday morning at 5:30 a.m., the NFTA said. Service had been suspended since Saturday afternoon due to an underground mechanical issue and bus shuttles will run every 20 minutes to help fill in the gap in service.

The Sabres organization will celebrate better days from a score ago with a 2005-06 season reunion for its Jan. 15 game against the Montreal Canadiens at KeyBank Center.
