A 31-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle on Buffalo’s East Side early Sunday morning, officials said. The incident occurred at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Wick Street around 2:45 a.m.

The NFTA’s metro rail system will reopen for underground services Monday morning at 5:30 a.m., the NFTA said. Service had been suspended since Saturday afternoon due to an underground mechanical issue and bus shuttles will run every 20 minutes to help fill in the gap in service.

A recent zoning decision in the City of Tonawanda is drawing strong opposition from neighbors who say they don’t want a cannabis growing operation in their residential neighborhood on Mill Street.

A group of volunteers is planting hope and new beginnings along Allen Street. Over the weekend, a group with the Allentown Association planted 5,000 tulip bulbs along Allen Street.
