Lockport Common Council voted to repair its sewer vacuum truck, damaged in an April accident. The city had received $213,000 from the insurance company for the truck and the repair bill was $228,000.The cost of a new model was $524,000.

A 74-year-old woman was driving southbound on Lockport-Olcott Road when the vehicle drifted off the road and into the fencing of Corwin Cemetery. The victim was transported to Lockport Memorial Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
