Two Dunkirk men, Lamont Brown and Jesus Ramos, were charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States and theft of government funds after they allegedly stole, or attempted to steal, $67,000 from the Puerto Rico Department of Labor and Human Resources.

A motorcyclist who died in a crash early Monday night has been identified by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. The crash occurred in Lewiston. Michael Pendergast, 34, of Amherst, was pronounced dead at the scene.
