The developers behind a plan to bring apartments to the Bewley Building in Lockport say they are now reviewing the situation after cancelling a presentation to the Lockport Common Council on Wednesday, saying they plan to evalute community concerns and return with an updated plan.

Lockport Common Council unanimously approved a resolution this week to create regulations addressing the operation of e-bikes, e-scooters, and other non-registerable motorized vehicles, with no residents coming forward to comment.

Students will soon be back in the classroom at King Center Charter School but who will be leading them remains in question after a court order reinstated their old principal, while the school announced the appointment of another on Wednesday.

In a meeting lasting about 15 minutes Thursday night, the Cambria Town Board voted to appoint Matthew Foe as interim supervisor without public discussion. Foe, who lives on Upper Mountain Road, is currently the town’s commissioner of special projects

In the Falls, Power City Eatery has reopened under new ownership at 444 3rd St. It was purchased by Sham Ahad, who plans to adjust the menu to include items from his food truck business.
