Wilkeson Pointe is now open after nearly three years of restorations to the Buffalo Waterfront, Gov. Hochul announced Friday. In August 2022, a $300 million restoration project was announced for the waterfront, with $11 million going towards Wilkeson Pointe.

A Niagara County crash involving a motorcycle left one person with life-threatening injuries on Thursday night. The crash happened around 6:20 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Robinson and East Canal roads in the Town of Lockport, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

Wheatfield’s efforts to get its own zip code took a step forward this week. Congressman Tim Kennedy was in the Niagara County town on Thursday to announce that legislation creating a new postal code had passed the House of Representatives and will now go to the Senate.
