One person is in custody following a shooting that happened Monday at Canalside.The shooting happened around 8 p.m. Monday, Two people were injured. A 23-year-old man was shot multiple times and taken to Erie County Medical Center. A 19-year-old man was shot once in the leg. A private vehicle took him to Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Injuries were “non-life threatening,” and officials stressed that the shooting appeared to have been targeted.
Acting Mayor Chris Scanlon lost in Tuesday’s primary election. Now, he says he will drop his pursuit of winning the general election in the fall. Scanlon said in a statement Friday evening after discussing it with family, he is suspending his campaign for Mayor of the City of Buffalo
