A Lancaster man has been sentenced for sending threats of harm via text in connection with a high-profile civil case. In March of last year, 27-year-old Tyler Vogel sent threatening text messages to two victims. In the texts, Vogel threatened to harm or kill the victims if they did not stop what they were doing in a civil case outside of Erie County.

West Seneca Police are investigating after a man allegedly showed up to the SPCA Serving Erie County and threatened to shoot an officer over an animal dispute.

Buffalo Fire arrived around 6:15 a.m. Saturday at 2586 Bailey Ave., where a fire started outside the 2.5-story wood frame residence. It then spread inside and up to the attic. The cause remains under investigation. The Red Cross was called in to help the residents displaced by the fire.
A compromised roof caused firefighters needing to evacuate an Amherst home on Friday night. The fire call was from residents at 41 Burgundy Terrace, reporting a possible grease fire in the kitchen. The Getzville Fire Company confirmed visible smoke and flames upon arrival, with fire going through the roof. An alert was made to all working firefighters because the roof compromised.

Buffalo firefighters battled a blaze that broke out on the city’s East Side. Crews were called at 9:36 p.m. Friday to 77 Chauncey St., in Buffalo’s Lovejoy neighborhood. That’s where a fire started on the first floor of a 1.5-story wood frame building. The fire spread to the second floor, The fire caused an estimated $75,000 in damage to the building and $35,000 to its contents. The cause remains under investigation
One person died following an overnight crash on Grand Island.The two-car crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Friday on the southbound 190. New York State Police said that a 2007 Toyota Camry struck the rear end of a 2025 Lexus SUV that was slowing in traffic in the right lane.The driver of the Toyota – identified as 19-year-old Tamim A.
