A restaurant in Niagara Falls suffered extensive damage in a fire on Saturday night. Crews responded to Michael’s Restaurant on Pine Avenue just after 9 p.m. Saturday, where the fire began in the main cooking area. Fire crews were able to put out the fire.

The driver who hit and killed a 21-year-old woman last year on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo was given five years of probation for falsifying DMV documents. Mohammed Tanbir, 28, hit and killed Sydney Lohr, who was crossing the street south of Forest Avenue after finishing her shift at Cole’s around 11 p.m. on July 15, 2023.

Firefighters are investigating what caused a car to catch fire in the Walden Galleria parking ramp on Friday. The flames spread to several other vehicles. Three cars were totaled, and another was badly damaged. The parking ramp and the mall itself were not damaged.
