A gas explosion in Buffalo’s Fruit Belt neighborhood Friday night resulted in $175,000 in damages, officials said. Fire crews responded to a fire at 167 Orange St. around 7:45 p.m.

A brush fire led to a small commercial fire in the Town of Wheatfield on Sunday evening. It happened at about 6pm Sunday at 2139 Lockport Road.

A car crashed into a Town of Hamburg home on Sunday evening. The incident happened on Green Meadow Court, near Amsdell Road. There’s no cause of the crash at this moment. No one was home at the time.

A natural gas leak ignited a house fire Friday night in Buffalo. Buffalo Fire personnel responded around 7:43 p.m. Friday to a two-story structure fire at 167 Orange St. Fire damaged both the first and second floors. A City of Buffalo spokesperson said a woman was pulled from the fire and treated on the scene for smoke inhalation.

A high-speed pursuit ended with a Niagara Falls Police officer shooting the driver Thursday evening. According to a statement it started in the 1100 block of Connecting Road, just north of Niagara Falls Boulevard and just west of a 190 exit. Police said that’s where officers attempted to make a traffic stop. .”The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave pending the result of the investigations,”

Niagara Falls Police are continuing the investigation into an officer who shot a man following a chase. In a statement Niagara Falls Police said “The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave pending the result of the investigations,”.

Buffalo Police are investigating a late-night shooting Wednesday. Police answered a call on Greenfield Street. Officers say they found a 49-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his right leg. Officers applied a tourniquet at the scene, and the victim was taken to ECMC by ambulance. There is no report on his current condition.
