An investigation is underway after a garage caught fire early Friday morning. According to the Amherst Central Fire Alarm Office, Harris Hill firefighters responded to a house on Main Street and found a garage fully engulfed in flames around 2am. Firefighters say all occupants were safely out of the home. The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time. The Erie County Sheriff’s Fire Inspectors are leading the investigation.

Amherst Police confiscated three guns from a town worker after he allegedly threatened to carry out a mass shooting, similar to the racist attack at Tops in Buffalo three years ago.
An alligator was seized from a home in the Leroy neighborhood of Buffalo earlier this week during a drug trafficking investigation. Officials were conducting a search at 28 Montclair Avenue in Buffalo when they found a backyard shed containing a large alligator in a makeshift pool. The shed was equipped with lighting and heating devices.
A Jamestown woman is charged with menacing and resisting arrest. 55-year-old Tammy Johnson got into a fight with someone early Wednesday morning and refused to come out of her apartment. After a time, SWAT officers went in and got her.

The Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit is looking into a Monday afternoon fire in a barn-style garage in the Town of Niagara. Emergency crews were called to the 8800 block of Lockport Road about 1:40 p.m. Monday for the fire. No injuries.
A Jamestown woman is facing charges after being found to be driving while intoxicated while having children in her vehicle at the intersection of Baker Street and Chapman Street in the city of Jamestown. Police say the driver at fault, 42-year-old Christina Blair, had been operating her vehicle while intoxicated. Four children her in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

A man has pleaded guilty to charges related to a head-on crash that killed his sister and two others in the Town of Freedom in 2023. Evan Klink, who was 21 at the time of the crash, purposefully crossed the center line of Freedom Road on June 17, 2023 and caused a head-on collision with a car his sister, 24-year-old Dahlia Klink, was driving.
Around 40 cars were damaged, including tires slashed and windshield wipers and side mirrors broken in West Seneca early Monday morning off of Indian Church Road near Union Road and West Avenue.

According to Erie County District Attorney Michael Keane, Umar Graham, 29, has been arraigned on two counts of Grand Larceny in the 2nd Degree, one count of Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information in the 2nd Degree, and one count of Scheme to Defraud in the 1st Degree
An Olean man has been arrested after allegedly shooting a house that had children inside. According to New York State Police, Robert J. Deahn, has been charged with one count of Menacing in the 2nd Degree, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, three counts of Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
