Federal investigators are trying to determine what caused a tour bus carrying 54 passengers to roll over on the New York State Thruway in Western New York, killing at least five people and injuring several others. The National Transportation Safety Board said Saturday its investigation will run parallel to a separate law enforcement investigation being conducted by New York State Police.
Two Buffalo Police officers and a civilian were rushed to a hospital following a two-car collision on Saturday night. A D District police cruiser and another vehicle collided around 9:45 p.m. Saturday at 1543 Niagara St. None of the injuries were considered to be life-threatening, according to a City of Buffalo spokesperson. The incident is under investigation.
