A 17-year-old girl was stabbed and killed in North Buffalo early Sunday afternoon. Police say it happened about 1:30pm on the 200 block of Commonwealth Avenue. Her 24 year old brother was taken into custody.

State Senator Sean Ryan on Sunday called for a stop to what he called Acting Mayor Chris Scanlon’s plans to “sell off” the city’s cultural assets — accusations that Scanlon later denied.
