Women in all stages of their cancer journey came together Saturday to empower one another at Roswell Park’s Women’s Cancer Wellness Summit. A panel of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center experts discussed topics from genetic screenings and clinical trials, to therapies and dietary nutrition. Speakers said the goal is to empower women to live their best lives during and after treatment.

A 37-year-old Dunkirk man has pleaded guilty to theft of government funds after admitting to orchestrating a scheme during the COVID-19 pandemic to fraudulently obtain unemployment benefits, federal prosecutors announced. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced Friday that Lamont Brown entered the plea. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
