One man is dead following an officer-involved shooting in Buffalo late Thursday night. They received a call for a man experiencing a mental health crisis on Minnesota Avenue. Officers responded just before 11 p.m. Thursday night. They say the situation escalated, and the man began holding three people at knifepoint.

The Town of Newfane is working toward a temporary fix for a broken sewer main that’s discharging untreated wastewater into Olcott Harbor. The break in a 12-inch forced main from Pump Station 6 occurred about 10 a.m. Tuesday.
