Today is Rare Disease Day, a day meant to shine a light on some of the more than 6,000 rare diseases that 300 million people around the world are diagnosed with. Kimberly Nicolas was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease three-and-a-half years ago after searching for answers for most of her life. Now, she wants to spread awareness and help others.
