Brownfields identification and assessment for Lockport’s West End and downtown, including the F&M Building, is in its early stages, with community engagement activities expected this summer

Lockport Common Council unanimously approved two new automated license plate cameras for the city on Wednesday, subject to the execution of an agreement approved by corporation counsel. The cameras will be located at the intersection of Summit and Transit streets and the intersection of East Avenue and Davison Road.

A North Tonawanda man admitted to manslaughter on Friday after he shot and killed a 19-year-old in 2021. The man was 16 years old when the shooting occurred, so he’s not being identified but was charged in the death of 19-year-old Donovan Miller on the 100 block of Laird Avenue in Buffalo.

An elderly couple was charged with over 200 counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals after 216 animals were seized from their farm in Brant last fall, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s office.
