The proposed moratorium on developing 25 or more rental units that Lockport Common Council tabled two weeks ago expired on Wednesday after no action was taken at its regularly scheduled meeting.

Niagara Falls city administrators clarified on Thursday that pay hikes, approved by the City Council on Wednesday night, will be applied to “people that supervise the city’s (swimming) pool and pad staff” and not to lifeguards.

Code Blue will be in effect Friday March 27th and Saturday March 28th. Overnight temperatures are forecast below freezing throughout the period.
