A Niagara Falls teen is on his way to state prison for the next 20 years following his conviction in a Lockport murder case. 19 year old Charles Jackson III was handed two decades behind bars for his guilty plea to a charge of first-degree manslaughter. He was originally charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Michael Hathaway, 26, of Lockport.

A Tonawanda man, 21 Jamere Davis, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with a fatal September 2025 shooting in Buffalo’s Black Rock neighborhood, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.

One of the two men involved in a gun-related incident at the Tops grocery store on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo last year was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in prison. Avello Pena, 35, of Tonawanda, will also serve five years of probation.

The countdown is on as construction continues at the new Highmark Stadium. The Bills provided a tour of the stadium’s progress on Tuesday, where the new Highmark Stadium is now 93% complete.
