An elderly man is dead after a house on North Bailey Avenue caught fire late Thursday night. Eggertsville Hose Company’s Fire Chief John Whitehead, Jr. confirmed with that an elderly man was found dead inside the home. A firefighter was also reportedly taken to the hospital after inhaling smoke, but is expected to make a full recovery.
