A Niagara University student was killed in a car crash early Tuesday, the school confirmed. The name of the victim has yet to be released. A second student involved in the crash is in stable condition and receiving medical care, the university said.
A Buffalo man is facing charges, including DWI after allegedly crashing into a Niagara County Sheriff’s patrol car. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that Eric Mende, 33, of Buffalo was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, open container, and other unnamed traffic violations.
A 56-year-old man who was reported missing was found dead on Perry Street in Buffalo Tuesday night, police said. Nurul Amin Shah Alam was found deceased after police received reports of a dead body on the first block of Perry Street around 8:30 p.m.
Starting March 7, Cayuga Drive will be closed to traffic between South Military Road and Buffalo Avenue for approximately three weeks due to construction.
