One day after roughly 1,500 construction workers returned to the job site of the new Highmark Stadium after it was halted for much of the week due to vandalism, project officials are now saying two individuals have been identified who may be responsible for the graffiti. The areas that were vandalized with spray paint will cost upwards of $150,000 to fix, according to the Erie County Executive.
Fire investigators are investigating the cause of a fire at a residential duplex on Falls Street.
Niagara Falls firefighters, along with Police and AMR, responded to reports of a structure fire in the 1600 block of Falls Street around 7:30 p.m. Patrol arrived on scene first and reported fire through the roof of the structure.
Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan announced the city will not demolish St. Ann’s, after flames devastated the school in January, saying it would cost $2 million in taxpayer dollars. The announcement has drawn reaction from city leaders and restoration experts.
