A Buffalo police officer has been charged with murder after Lewiston Police said they found a woman dead inside a home in Sanborn Saturday. The victim is 35-year-old Alexis Skoczylas of Sanborn. 53 year old Lance Woods is charged with one count of second-degree murder.
Cheektowaga Police responded to a report of a fight at Walden Galleria that allegedly involved the use of knives. It happened on the mall’s lower level. Police said 22-year-old Lakeya Richerson of Buffalo and 21-year-old Joshalyn Paul of Buffalo allegedly used knives to assault three other women.
Firefighters from Niagara Active Hose Co. responded to the 9700 block of Porter Road around 12:55 p.m. on Sunday for reports of a vehicle fire. On arrival, they located a U.S. Postal Service mail truck with its engine compartment engulfed in flames.
