A Niagara County inmate allegedly unsuccessfully attempted to escape from the Niagara County Correctional Facility last week, according to the county sheriff’s office. Robert Cox, 35, allegedly tried to escape the jail on Feb. 5. It is unclear what he did in his attempt to escape.
