A Lackawanna man was sentenced to 17 years in prison after being convicted of conspiring to kidnap his own daughter, transporting her overseas, and telling her she would not be returning to the United States but instead would be staying in Yemen to marry someone. Khaled Abughanem, 53, was sentenced on Thursday. His adult son was also part of the scheme and was charged.
