Volunteer firefighters in Cheektowaga just received a big boost to their equipment loadout. U.S. Rep.Tim Kennedy announced Saturday that all volunteer fire companies in Cheektowaga are receiving new radio systems and new fire suppression systems which are specifically intended to extinguish electric car battery fires.
