A New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Siting Board has rejected a request from CWM Chemical Services LLC (CWM) for permits to expand its Model City hazardous waste facility in the towns of Lewiston and Porter.
The $134 million McCarley Gardens expansion project, which will bring affordable housing and retail space to the Fruit Belt community, was unanimously approved by the City of Buffalo Planning Board.
