A Niagara Falls woman, 35 year old Elizabeth Calaty, died on Friday after she was booked into the Erie County Holding Center, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.

A mistrial was declared Monday in the case of Gregory Trotter, the Amherst Police detective accused of lying to federal agents about his relationship with convicted strip club owner Peter Gerace.

A motorcyclist died in a crash that took place early Monday night in Lewiston. The sheriff’s office received multiple reports just before 6:30 p.m. of a collision in front of 4663 Townline Road near Albright Road.
