The trial of a Lockport man accused of killing a man in a 2023 drive-by shooting is getting underway. Opening statements taking place in the murder case against 23 year old Joshua Z. Chandler, charged in the 2023 shooting death of Rakeem Hamilton.
The man accused of killing Amanda Thompson on her front porch in July was in a Buffalo courtroom Wednesday afternoon. This was the first time Rickey Crouch has been in court since the murder. He’s been in the hospital since crashing on the Thruway before his arrest.
Only a few days into the start of the academic year, one Western New York school has already received a threat of violence. A Sweet Home Schools spokesperson says a non-credible threat was made against the high school on just the second day of classes.
