Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand stopped by the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station on Tuesday to announce that $16 million in federal funds could come its way. The funds would enable both 914th Refueling Wing and 107th Attack Wing airmen to be in a central location.

The man accused of killing Amanda Thompson on her front porch in July was in a Buffalo courtroom Wednesday afternoon. This was the first time Rickey Crouch has been in court since the murder. He’s been in the hospital since crashing on the Thruway before his arrest.

Only a few days into the start of the academic year, one Western New York school has already received a threat of violence. A Sweet Home Schools spokesperson says a non-credible threat was made against the high school on just the second day of classes.
