Buffalo firefighters battled a blaze that broke out on the city’s East Side. Crews were called at 9:36 p.m. Friday to 77 Chauncey St., in Buffalo’s Lovejoy neighborhood. That’s where a fire started on the first floor of a 1.5-story wood frame building. The fire spread to the second floor, The fire caused an estimated $75,000 in damage to the building and $35,000 to its contents. The cause remains under investigation
One person died following an overnight crash on Grand Island.The two-car crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Friday on the southbound 190.
