New York State Senator April Baskin is proposing a new hotel bed tax in Cheektowaga. Baskin says visitors who come to Western New York for shopping, sporting events, and other attractions stay at hotels in Cheektowaga. “If we do it in Buffalo its makes sense to it in the town of Cheektowaga to help the residents of Cheektowaga offset a lot of debt and cost incurred on the tax payers to keep up the town.”
