A traffic stop over tinted windows led to a large weapons arrest on Thursday. Michael S. Wrzos, 45, of Lockport faces multiple counts of criminal possession and felony counts of criminal possession of high-capacity magazines; criminal possession of a silencer, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminally using drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Lockport jail.
A lettercard written by one of the Titanic’s most well-known survivors from onboard the ship, days before it sank, has sold for $399,000 at auction. April 10, 1912, first-class passenger Archibald Gracie wrote of the ill-fated steamship: “It is a fine ship but I shall await my journeys end before I pass judgment on her.” The note was written to the seller’s great-uncle.
