A Beattie Avenue home in the town of Lockport was damaged after a vehicle in a driveway burst into flames and the fire spread to the residence. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 9 p.m. Sunday, it received several 911 calls reporting the vehicle fire in the driveway.

A Buffalo man, 31 year old Time Thomas Jr. was found guilty of murder by a jury on Monday morning after he shot and killed a man in 2024, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s office.

Buffalo police are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place on Sunday afternoon. Police responded to a call just after 4 p.m. outside of the Pine Harbor Apartments on Seventh Street. Officials said that a male victim with stab wounds was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Buffalo Bisons announced they will host their annual Spring Training Carnival on Sunday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Powerhouse on Lee Street in Buffalo.

One day after roughly 1,500 construction workers returned to the job site of the new Highmark Stadium after it was halted for much of the week due to vandalism, project officials are now saying two individuals have been identified who may be responsible for the graffiti. The areas that were vandalized with spray paint will cost upwards of $150,000 to fix, according to the Erie County Executive.

Fire investigators are investigating the cause of a fire at a residential duplex on Falls Street.
Niagara Falls firefighters, along with Police and AMR, responded to reports of a structure fire in the 1600 block of Falls Street around 7:30 p.m. Patrol arrived on scene first and reported fire through the roof of the structure.

Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan announced the city will not demolish St. Ann’s, after flames devastated the school in January, saying it would cost $2 million in taxpayer dollars. The announcement has drawn reaction from city leaders and restoration experts.

After beating Team Slovakia, the Americans are heading to the championship game to take on Canada for a chance at the gold medal. The United States dominated Slovakia on Friday by the score of 6-2. They will battle on Sunday morning at 8 AM Eastern time

Niagara County was among those seeing in excess of 5% growth in sales tax revenues. Sales tax collections in 2025 totaled $102,944,000, a more than 5.3% or almost $5.5 million increase over 2024.

The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency has approved $776,067 in tax incentives to Neofab Robotics’ new Niagara County facility. The new $4.63 million, 28,000-square-foot manufacturing and fabrication space will be located in the Vantage International Pointe Business Park.
